Hey all
I know one of the reasons for makeing this blog so that I can keep my friends updated on my life, and I also know that I haven’t been doing that very much lately, but I have been busy with other stuff, includeing school (final exams) makeing long term plans, and self-searching (which I will write about later)
About School,… well we started the final exams and will finsih soon, today was suppose to be the LAST day for finals but due to the stupidety of those in charge of makeing the exams’ schedual, they putted exams on a day that was a religious holeday, which by the way is not the first time, I really wonder if they actually look at anything or concider anything when they make those scheduals or do they just put it down the way THEY feel more comfortable, and that was not the only problem I faced in the finals, just to mention a couple …
1) when the first schedual came out I found that I had 3 exams at the same day, 2 of which happened to be at the same time, ok you might think that this is just my bad luck, WELL THINK AGAIN! the 2 exams that was at the same time was from my faculty, and gyess what… 75% of the students take these 2 courses togather, and still they the administration (who is formed of proffesors of the faculty) were able to NOT SEE this fact, well after about 300 students standing in the coridor of the Proffesors’ offices to complain they changed the schedual, and their mistaked does not end here…
2) it turned out that it wasn’t only these 2 exams that was “missplaced” but half of our faculties final exams had to be rearanged because the first schedual was TOTALY messed up, so after changeing time and places for half the exams I find of of my finals to be placed in the agriculture faculty, and I am a computer science student, and the subject is a computer science subject, but thats ok no big deal,… so I go to my exam, find the palce with difficulty, get my self a seat, and wait for the exam to start, they give us the exam paper which turns out to much longer then expected, but thats not a big problem, so far so good, after about 30 minutes into the 2 hour exam students seem to be gathering at the door to the lecture hall we have out exam in. then a proffesor comes in and starts screaming “what the hell are you doing here??” after another 10 minutes of screaming it turned out that there was another exam that suppose to take place there half through our test, apperantly the administration of my faculty just picked a palce without checking if it was empty or not, after a small argument between the professors they decided to let both classes take the exam, between each student of my class there was suppose to sit a student from the other class, till now we only lost about 15 minutes of our exam listening to their screams and being rearranged, with normal students the problem would have ended right here, but these are UTO students, so it didn’t end here, they came in wasted at least another 10 minutes getting seated in a very loud hissing manner, which didn’t help us getting back to answering our exam, then as if that isn’t enought, the first thing they guy next to me said was ” can you get me the answers from the guy on your other side?” actually he said it in a “this is what we will do” tone more then “Asking” tone,
well I guess all well what ends well, and its not that I want to complain about it, becasue personaly I wasn’t effected that much, but there were students who found the whole thing too stressfull for them to cope with, plus those who putted the exam schedual are proffesors, and they get paied for that, its there responcibility, when will employees here in Jordan start takeing their employment serious, and most importantly why do they not take it seriously in the first place?, I mean for examle, if they had taken this situation seriously, been responcible and practical from the begining they would have saved them self time and afford, and even saved the university some money, but why do something right from the first time, when you can do it wrong 2 and 3 times??? *sarcams*
any way, as I said I finish my finals tomorow, and then I’ll write a few posts, there have been so manythings that I really need yo talk about.
